Airline ticketing software turns a fare into an e-ticket and keeps control of everything after: holds, voids, refunds and the money behind each. This guide explains how ticketing works in JetNova, for your own desk, your sub-agents and your public-facing bot.
On your own accounts
Ticketing runs through the content your agency connects: your Sabre, Amadeus or Travelport account and airline-direct accounts on the NDC or Navitaire rail (PIA on Hitit NDC, AirBlue, AirSial, SereneAir, Fly Jinnah, the Gulf carriers and more). Search is on from day one; reservation, cancellation and ticketing are switched on per connection. See GDS software for travel agents.
Search, reserve, issue
In the Buraq B2B Flights screen an agent searches live fares, one-way or return, with adults, children and lap infants; chooses seats, bags and meals; reserves; and issues a live e-ticket when the wallet allows. A hold window keeps the reservation for the hours you set. The e-ticket can be printed, saved as PDF or emailed to the passenger from your own sender.
Controls before a ticket is issued
- The contract must allow ticketing for that agency.
- The wallet must have headroom: balance plus credit limit, less what is used.
- A one-time password can be required on ticketing and cancellation.
- Ticketing can be put on hold for one account without touching its reservations.
Void, refund and imports
Inside the airline's void window the ticket is voided and the wallet credited less the contract's void charge. After it, a refund request goes to the refund queue, where the tenant enters the airline penalty and approves or rejects. A PNR made outside the portal can be imported so it is managed in the same place.
A GDS terminal for the ticketing desk
Staff who prefer cryptic entries get a terminal in Sabre, Amadeus and Galileo formats: availability, sell, names, pricing, end-transact, retrieve, cancel, ticket and void. It uses the same wallet and permission checks as the Flights screen. With a host session it shows HOST; otherwise EMULATED, and says why.
Ticketing from the B2C bot
The B2C bot can book for the public in three steps. Booking is off for a new agency until you enable it, and live ticketing is a separate switch. Over email, ticketing is never automatic.
