Sub-agent portal: what your sub-agencies see

Updated · 6 min read

A sub-agent portal is the website your sub-agencies sign in to and sell from. It should let them do everything they would otherwise phone your desk for, while you keep control of credit, prices and ticketing. Here is a sub-agent's day in the Buraq B2B portal, screen by screen, named as they appear on the menu.

Morning: Dashboard

Searches and tickets per day, the sales trend, the wallet, their earnings, top routes and airlines, and notifications. With digests switched on, the sub-agency also gets a daily desk summary by email.

Selling: Flights, Hotels, Umrah, Visas, Group Flights

  • Flights: live fares across the connected airlines, with seats, bags and meals, reserve and issue.
  • Hotels: rates per night by room type, rooms and occupancy.
  • Umrah Packages: Makkah and Madinah nights, hotels and per-person prices by room type.
  • Visa Processing: services with processing days and per-passenger prices.
  • Group Flights: seats on the blocks you hold with airlines.

Managing: My Bookings

Reservations and tickets with hold expiry, the e-ticket, Print / Save PDF and Email to passenger; issue, void, release a hold or request a refund, each behind a confirmation; import a PNR made outside the portal.

Money: Wallet and Payments

Available to spend, credit limit and used; a statement of every debit and credit; the contract card. Top up through a gateway or submit a bank instrument for approval; see settlement bills and apply payments to them.

Evening: Reports

Sales, earnings and the ledger, content-wise and sub-agent-wise, with filters and export.

Their team and their own sub-agents

Users holds their staff logins with roles, permissions (reserve, ticket, pay, reports, manage users) and WhatsApp and email notification switches. When the contract allows a downline, Sub-Agents lets them onboard their own agencies with credit capped at their own limit, and Promotions lets them run offers for those agencies.

Email requests and policies

Email requests shows their threads with your agent desk and the hold requests they raised. Policies & FAQ shows the booking, cancellation and payment policies you publish, readable before sign-in too.

In your brand

Sub-agents see your brand on the portal, the sign-in screen, e-tickets, invoices and emails, unless you give a sub-agency its own.

Questions

What can sub-agents do in the portal?
Search and book flights, hotels, Umrah packages, visas and group seats; manage bookings, voids and refund requests; top up and settle their wallet; run reports; manage their staff; and, when allowed, run their own sub-agencies.
Can sub-agents have their own sub-agents?
Yes, when their contract allows a downline. They onboard child agencies with credit capped at their own limit and can run promotions for them.
Do sub-agents see our brand?
Yes, on the portal, sign-in screen, e-tickets, invoices and emails, unless a sub-agency is given its own branding.
